Alaska: A Quest for Life
- Mon, Sep 25
Run Time: 120 min. Rating: Not rated
Following his 2016 adventure in Iceland, Marcos Yánez launches a new challenge in The Last Frontier: Alaska. Since Marcos’ father passed away in 2014 from leukemia, Marcos’s only goal has been for more people to donate bone marrow.
With his campaign #runforleucemia, he has set a new goal: to arrive safely at an iconic location, the Magic Bus. To get there, he must run 300 km in 5 stages, from Anchorage to north of Denali, pushing himself to extremes to inspire others. He runs with one clear message: joining the registry and donating bone marrow can save lives in every part of the world.
In Alaska, Marcos meets Christy Youngblood, a lymphoma survivor and runner, who helps him in this challenging and exciting adventure. It is an adventure of personal growth and sacrifice.
Together with their expedition team, Marcos and Christy embark on a journey suitable only for the brave, generous, and hopeful- those with a desire to help others without expecting anything in return.
